The University of Georgia welcomed its newest alumni on May 7-8. A total of 9,477 students – 6,537 spring undergraduates and 1,055 expected summer undergraduates along with 1,885 graduate students – met requirements to participate in the university’s spring Commencement.

Alexa Lucas-Hullett of Tullahoma and Sheev Patel of Tullahoma were among the graduates.

“We are excited to recognize the achievements of our University of Georgia students in the Class of 2026,” said President Jere W. Morehead. “Commencement represents a chance to celebrate outstanding accomplishments and honor the families and friends who supported these students on their journeys. We look forward to seeing the many ways these graduates will continue to represent the University of Georgia as proud alumni.”
