Crutchfield opens Salt and Skin Studio

With a diverse background emphasizing personal service, Rebecca Crutchfield launched Salt and Skin Studio in early February. The studio is now located at 405 S Jackson Street in Tullahoma.
Rebecca is a licensed cosmetologist and certified in European Facial Sculpting. She has also worked in the beauty industry on cruise ships. In addition to her beauty-related work, Rebecca has experience in education, supporting both elementary and adult students, as well as case management with the Department of Education. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
These diverse work experiences have given Rebecca a unique perspective on helping clients feel confident and cared for. She credits her previous work with teaching her the importance of personalized service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and approaching skincare and wellness thoughtfully with her clients.
Her goal with starting Salt and Skin Studio is to provide personalized treatments in a calm, one-on-one setting where clients can relax while seeing real improvements in their skin. She offers skin exfoliation, hydration treatments, resultsdriven facials, facial waxing services, and LED light therapy. Treatments are specialized and tailored to help clients look and feel their best, leaving skin soft, nourished, and revitalized.
According to Rebecca, many of the services offered cannot be found anywhere else locally. Specific treatments include European Facial Sculpting, a technique that softens harsh expression lines and enhances natural beauty by lifting the face and reducing the appearance of facial tension. She also offers Blepharo Lifting, a rejuvenating treatment designed to lift and refresh the eye area.
The name Salt and Skin Studio is a nod to the salt-based exfoliation treatments she uses. “I work with ingredients like Dead Sea salt, Himalayan salt, activated charcoal, and coffee scrubs. All are carefully chosen to gently exfoliate, detoxify, and leave the skin smooth. I source professionalgrade, holistic products from local suppliers whenever possible, ensuring treatments are both effective and mindful of overall wellness,” she said.
Rebecca was inspired to start Salt and Skin Studio because, after years of working from home, she missed connecting with others, seeing their faces, hearing their stories, and being a part of their self-care journey.
“Salt and Skin Studio was designed as a place where clients can relax, feel cared for, and take time for themselves. I enjoy connecting with clients in a meaningful way while providing personalized skincare and wellness services,” said Rebecca.
She continued, “I love my business because it gives me a chance to connect with clients one-on-one—nurturing, listening, and simply holding space for them. It’s an honor to be trusted to care for their skin and help them feel confident and refreshed.”
“The response to Salt and Skin Studio has been wonderful. I’m grateful for the support and look forward to continuing to serve Tullahoma and the surrounding area.”
