A Beechgrove resident has published his memoire about living off the grid. A new memoir by Coffee County resident Paul McCarty offers a vivid, often humorous, firsthand account of these and many other true-life experiences from growing up on a small subsistence farm in central Kentucky during the 1940s and 1950s.

Retail sales down slightly to start year

Retail sales in Tullahoma in January, 2026 were down slightly compared to January, 2025. Merchants collected $17,216 or 1.19% less in sales tax between the two months. The reporting of retail sales are one month behind as merchants have a month to report their sales. For the first eight months of the fiscal year, retail sales in Tullahoma are up 5.46%.
