Blood donations urged for 100 deadliest days of summer
As Middle Tennessee enters the “100 Deadliest Days of Summer,” Blood Assurance is urging people to donate blood, platelets, and plasma now and throughout the summer to help prevent a seasonal donor shortage from threatening local hospital supplies.

Silicon Ranch updates Planning Commission
Several representatives of Silicon Ranch (SR) solar farm and LPL Solar attended May’s Moore County Planning Commission meeting to update the commission on progress at the site, and to address former issues. Bryan Runion with SR introduced the group.

Police get new body cameras
The city has approved the purchase of 33 Axon body cameras for the Tullahoma Police Department at a price tag of $141,499.


Tullahoma stamps out hunger with food donations
Tullahoma helped to stamp out hunger this month as citizens donated nearly 3,100 pounds of food to local pantries for the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Class of 2026 leave their mark at graduation
Friday night was a night of celebration at Wilkins Stadium as the Tullahoma High School (THS) and Tullahoma Virtual Academy (TVA) Class of 2026 walked the line to receive their diplomas. The commencement ceremonies saw 270 students from both THS and TVA receive their diplomas.

Bridge named in honor of Thomas Gwynn
The newly constructed foot bridge that allows pedestrian traffic from Atlantic into History Park has been named in honor of the “Greatest Ranger that ever was”, Tullahoma’s-own Thomas Gwynn.

Tullahoma native recognized as a NETC 2025 Sailor of the Year finalist
Sonar Technician (Submarines) 1st Class Justin Gore, a Tullahoma, Tenn., native, was selected as a Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) Sailor of the Year finalist for 2026. Gore was nominated over sailors from across the entire NETC domain.

TCS has three staff semifinalists
Tullahoma City Schools recently learned that three staff members were named regional semifinalists for their respective awards. Dr. Wendy Wilkerson has been named a semifinalist for Supervisor of the Year, while Dr. Woody Dillehay is a semifinalist for Principal of the Year and Blair Clanton is a semifinalist for Teacher of the Year.

Hope Thomas earns P.E.O. STAR Scholarship
Hope Thomas, daughter of Rebecca Thomas, is the 2026 recipient of the STAR Scholarship presented by P.E.O.
