Christopher Gibson Obituary

Christopher James Gibson, age 41, of Madison, formerly of Lynchburg, departed this life suddenly on Dec. 12, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness. 

Mr. Gibson was born in Winchester, to Judy Anne Bell Gibson Stephens of Lynchburg and the late Terry Wayne Gibson.  He attended the Madison First Baptist Church. Mr. Gibson was a 2001 Graduate of Tullahoma High School.  He was last employed at TE Connectivity before becoming disabled.  He loved to read his Bible and play video games.  When he was younger he enjoyed riding horses and as a youngster he loved riding his bicycle until one day when he was only 7 and on a family outing at the state park at Tims Ford and got lost at the park, luckily a Park Ranger came to his rescue and the family was so happy when the Ranger drove up with him in his truck.  Mr. Gibson will be remembered as a quiet man that truly loved the Lord, his family and his friends. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his infant son, James Michael Gibson.  He is survived by his mother, Judy Stephens and (Lyndon Stephens) Brothers; Keith Gibson and Dustin Bell, Maternal Grandmother, Velma Bell all of Lynchburg and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.      

Services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 20, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Howard Riddle, officiating. Interment followed in the Highland Ridge Cemetery in Estill Springs.

Grant Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
