James Leland Green, 93, of Huntsville, Alabama, formerly of Franklin County, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Francisco, Alabama, on Feb. 7, 1932, to the late Clayton and Sally (Pogue) Green. 

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Michael Clark officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Huntland.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
