Timothy T. Campbell, 63

Timothy T. Campbell, of Tullahoma, unexpectedly passed this life on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at his home at the age of 63.

Tim was born in Tullahoma to the late Tommy and Charlotte Campbell. He graduated from Tullahoma High School in 1980 and was a member of the former Wilson Avenue Church of Christ. During his life, Tim served as Chief Audio and Transmitter Engineer at WKDA and WKDF in Nashville from 1980 to the early 90s. He was responsible for Keeping the 100,000 watt AOR (album oriented rock) station on the air for millions of listeners in Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky and North Alabama. Tim had a very critical role in keeping the number 1 station accessible to its fans in the 80s and 90s. He was loved by all the KDF Rock DJs, staff and management. His dedication to the station was amazing. Tim was so proud of his move from working radio in smaller markets to making it to a top station in Nashville. After leaving the KDF family, Tim returned to his hometown and came to work with lifelong friends at P&M Security and Electric, whom he had known all his life. He served as an Alarm Technician and Electrical Engineer for the company. Tim was very smart, highly skilled, and had very good people skills. He is irreplaceable and will be missed by all he touched, especially the P&M family. He is survived by his dog Boots, who was his loyal companion and best friend; and a host of friends.

Funeral was held on Sunday, June 14 2026 at Kilgore Funeral Home with Randy Davis officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tim’s memory to the Tullahoma Animal Shelter or the American Heart Association.

Kilgore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
