Andrew Fulmer sets Motlow home run record

2025 Tullahoma graduate, Andrew Fulmer, is off to an amazing start in his collegiate baseball career with Motlow State Community College. He recently broke the record for most home runs in a season at Motlow with 28 home runs.

Throughout all of collegiate sports there are needles in haystacks, players that are clearly above the level they are playing. That has become even more prevalent now in the world of NIL. A lot of times now, the best player on a Division I powerhouse in many sports started their career at either a nondivision one school or a small D-I school. Although it is early, that could very well be the case for Fulmer with the Motlow Community College baseball team.

Fulmer, in his senior year at Tullahoma, showcased an ability to generate hits rapidly. In his fourth year for the Wildcats, he had a batting average of .462. His consistency in getting on base and helping THS create offense helped Tullahoma mightily in getting to the state tournament for a second consecutive season. That same offensive talent that Fulmer had for THS has only grown greater in his time with the Bucks, as he unlocked a new attribute that has helped him excel in his freshman season. Power hitting.

In his senior season with the Wildcats through 38 games, he was Tullahoma’s home run leader, with six HRs to his name. With the Bucks, Fulmer has maintained the title of the leader for home runs, but has done so by quadrupling his production.

In the data available through 44 games for Motlow, Fulmer is batting .335 and has 52 RBIs. Stemming from March until a game against Volunteer Community College on April 14, 12-games, Fulmer over the stretch was arguably the best player in the entirety of the TCCAA. Over the following games, he had a combined 14 home runs, and he had at least one HR in each of the 12 games.

Fulmer, with his power, has made a statement that he is more than ready for a new challenge at a higher level in college baseball. It will be exciting to follow along and see if those offers from higher division schools come through for Fulmer, and if he chooses to pursue them if they again do come.
