Hall of Fame inductees revealed

Tullahoma Sports Council is proud to announce the inductees nominated for the 2027 season. The Nominees will be inducted at the Annual Tullahoma Sports Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet to be held on Saturday, February 20, 2027 at the D.W. Wilson Community Center. L&H Distributing and First Bank will be the title sponsors for the event with Tullahoma Department of Parks and Recreation taking a significant role in additional sponsorship and support. The eventful evening will begin with a reception and social hour at 5 p.m. The induction ceremony with reserved seating will begin at 7 p.m.
The 2027 slate of inductees includes: Kevin Nee, the 1972 State Champion in gymnastics on the parallel bars and also the 1973 State Champion in gymnastics on the rings for Tullahoma High School. Mr. Nee currently serves as the coach of gymnastics and golf at the Baton Rouge High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mr. Nee was also recently inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame.
The 1973 2-Mile Relay Team from Tullahoma High School. The team was the TSSAA State Champion in the event. Team members include Don Trussell, Chester Daniel, Tyler Marshall and John Warren.
Cody Hale was the 2002 TSSAA Class 3-A State Champion in golf for Tullahoma High School with a score of 139. He went on to play at Lipscomb University and was an All-ASUn selection in 2005 and 2008.
Kris Potts-Howard was the 2014 TSSAA State Champion in track and field for Tullahoma High School. In Division 1 Class 3-a, Kris posted a 4610.25 triple jump to clench the championship. Kris went on to earn All American honors at Carson Newman University.
Jane Allen was the 2019 TSSAA Individual 170-pound State Champion in wrestling for Tullahoma High School. She earned All American status from the National High School Coaches Association. Jane committed to Life University’s women’s wrestling program in 2019 and has now returned to THS as a coach.
The 2021 Tullahoma High School Wildcat Football team completed an undefeated season and went on become the TSSAA Class 4A State Champion. Lead by Coach John Olive, the team captured the school’s first state title against Elizabethton in a double overtime thriller by a score of 21-14.
Sponsorship opportunities are available now and are being filled quickly. Members of the sports council will be reaching out to the community to fill the remaining sponsorship spots. Tickets for the evening’s festivities will be provided to the inductees and their families and remaining seats will be limited and offered to the public.
