There seems to be no end in sight for the Tullahoma boys’ bowling team’s win streak. On Nov. 10, they added another win, beating Columbia High School. This win brings their overall record on the season to 8-0.
The Wildcats, throughout the season, in game one of two in matches, have been able to get a huge pin lead. This was not the case in game one against Columbia. Tullahoma had a slight pin lead, 1,104 to 1,071 after the first game. Columbia was able to establish itself in the match with a score of 231 from one of their players in game one. The Wildcats were able to get their slight advantage from solid scores from all six of their bowlers in this game. The two players who had the highest scores for the Wildcats in game one were Korbin Thompson with 208 pins and JT Brooks with 200.
In game two the Wildcats were able to extend their slight lead in game two, and solidify a win. Jordyn Pilkington posted the highest score of the match in game two with a score of 246 pins Tullahoma. Jenson Rodgers had 227 pins in the game, which ended up being the third-largest individual pin total in the match. These two scores were a part of a 1,098-pin total in game two that gave Tullahoma a 2,637-to-2,485-pin advantage and a win.
The Wildcats will look to continue their undefeated season on Dec. 1 when they take on Lawrence County High School. They will participate in the individual regional tournament prior to this on Nov. 21.
