Piping on the Green set for April 5

The 11th annual Piping on the Green will be held April 5 and will again take place on the campus of South Jackson Performing Arts Center.

According to the Highland Rim Scottish Society which sponsors the event, Atlanta based Celtic rockers The Muckers will be performing along with national and local favorites, Doon the Brae, The Secret Commonwealth, Kris Colt & the Black Rose Band, The Jacobites By Name and others. The event is free to attend and will begin at 8 a.m. The event will include bagpipers, Celtic music, craft vendors, dancers and food.

Vendors are being sought for the event. Single spaces are $60 and double spaces $120. Electrical hookups are $25 more but you must bring your own extension cord. Sponsors are also welcome with sponsorships helping to keep the annual event free of charge to the public.  For businesses a Clansman Sponsorship $55 and will get an Advertisement in the program. Chieftain Sponsorship $110 and will get Advertisement in the program and listing on social media. Bagpipe Sponsorship $350 will get an Advertisement in the program and be attached to a specific event such as a workshop, competition, or attraction. Thistle Sponsorship $550 will get an advertisement in the program. Music and event sponsor. Name on the Banner and Event Shirt. Social media promotion.
