Tullahoma races to State

The Tullahoma High School cross country teams both qualified for State at the Region meet. The girls’ team went last season and it is the first time in two decades that the boys’ team has qualified.
The Lady Wildcats finished the meet as Region Runner-up with 53 points, just six points behind first place. They were led by Brindley Duncan who finished fourth overall in 21 minutes 20.37 seconds. She was followed by Ellie Uehlein at 21:23.38 in fifth. The Lady ‘Cats had a third runner finish in the top 10 overall, Sarah Eakin at ninth in 22:07.50. Two more members of the team got medals for finishing in the top 25, Lexi Lester at 12 and Audrey Sohrabi at 25. Lester finished with a time of 22:21.93. Sohrabi’s time was 23:33.84. Bella Rivera was the next finisher for Tullahoma at 39 with a time of 24:36.21. Addie Colvin was the other runner for the team and she finished 70 overall in 30:29.14.
The Wildcats finished third with 151 points. The team was led by Brayden Johnson with his time of 18:12.81. He finished tenth overall. Lukas Price was the other medalist for the team at 16 in 18:24.72. Brady Welch was the next ‘Cat to finish at 36 overall with a time of 19:45.44. Will Swiger finished in 20:31.58 for 52 overall. Jackson Ites placed 79 in 21:49.58. Kurt Tipps finished in 22:59.10 with Everett Tinsley right behind him at 23:02.90 for places 103 and 104. Dakota Call ran a time of 26:16.05 and Major Montoye had a time of 26:49.76.
