Woman arrested in Coffee County for murder

A woman was arrested in Coffee County this past week in connection to a murder in Wilson County.

According to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division took Jeaneen Boyas into custody on a charge of First-Degree Murder stemming from a domestic incident that occurred on the evening of Aug. 14, 2026, at Cherokee Marina in Lebanon.

The victim in the case was identified as Robert Mallen. Boyas is currently being held in the Wilson County Jail on a $500,000 bond. The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office took custody of Boyas in Coffee County with the assistance of the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and the Tullahoma Police Department.

Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan expressed his appreciation for the work of investigators and the agencies that assisted in taking Boyas into custody.

“Our detectives have worked diligently throughout this investigation, and I am grateful for their commitment and attention to detail,” Bryan said. “I also want to thank the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and Tullahoma Police Department for their assistance. Cooperation between law enforcement agencies is extremely important, and we appreciate their willingness to assist us in bringing this individual into custody.”

The case is still under investigation, and no additional information was released.
