THS soccer secures 10th win of 2026 season

The Tullahoma High School boys’ soccer team recently improved its overall record to 10-1-2. They got a 6-2 win over Franklin County High School and added a district win against Giles County High School, where they won 5-1.

Franklin County

Many times in the 2026 season, the Wildcats have started their games strongly offensively. The following game against the Rebels was not an exception, as the Wildcats were applying constant pressure on the Rebels’ backline defenders. Within the six goals they scored in the match, five of them came in the first half.

Senior Jude Smith and junior Aiden Walker were the main contributors in the goals-scoring department for Tullahoma on the night. They each scored two goals. For Smith, it was his first game with two goals in the 2026 season, bringing his goal total to six. Walker now has 10 total goals for Tullahoma, ranking as the second most on the roster behind senior Jayden Sarabia, who has 12. It was the second time this season that Walker had two or more goals.

Outside of the offensive production from Walker and Smith, the other two goals were scored by junior Gage Allen and by Sarabia.

Giles County

Again, the Wildcats’ offense came out of the gates hot. It felt like there was a little extra motivation for Tullahoma, stemming from their last matchup against Giles County 346 days ago.

Going back in time to May 5, 2025, the Wildcats saw their 2025 season come to an end in a penalty shootout to the Bobcats, where they lost 2-2. The Wildcats made sure that same fate did not come to fruition this time around.

Within the first 20 minutes, Tullahoma logged a 2-0 advantage on the scoreboard. These goals came from Walker and Sarabia. For Walker’s goal, Sarabia was on the other end, assisting on the goal. On his own goal, Sarabia showed off his dribbling skills as he was able to maneuver past a couple of Giles’ defenders before he found the back of the net.

Allen and junior Kaiden Grau were responsible for the other two goals in the first half for Tullahoma, as the Wildcats led by a score of 4-1 at the end of the first half.

Tullahoma, in the second half with the big lead, played conservatively offensively to put more emphasis on defense. The following move was effective as they shut out Giles in the second half, while logging one more goal of their own, coming from Grau. He scored from following up on a well-hit shot from Sarabia.

Tullahoma will be back in action on April 20, where they will have a district matchup against Lawrence County High School.
