Wu-Tang Clan live in Birmingham on Sept. 19

After 34 years, one thing that remains certain after all that time is that the Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nothin to f- with, and the hip hop group proved that when it played Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham this month.

In the middle of 2025, Wu-Tang Clan embarked on The Final Chamber Tour, billed as the final run for the rappers. That tour has extended into 2026 and is scheduled to wrap up in November, coinciding with the Rock Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Los Angeles.

For nearly 30 years, Wu-Tang Clan has been instrumental in the hip-hop scene, and there’s a lot of history from the nine-member group. As the show got underway, founder RZA  provided the audience with a history lesson of the band and, of course, proudly mentioned that the group is part of this year’s Rock Hall of Fame class.

With nine members, it was impressive to see each member get their time to shine. RZA led the way earlier, before being joined on stage by several group members, including GZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, U-God, Cappadonna, and Inspectah Deck. Some of the other members got their own special entrances, including Method Man, who got his own time to shine with a three-song performance early into the set.

The group also paid homage to founding member Ol’ Dirty B****** late in the set by having his son, the YDB (Young Dirty B******), perform a couple of tracks. YDB was a great addition, as he brought a high level of energy to classic tracks “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” and “Got Your Money.”

With a 34-year history, the group had a massive setlist that spanned nearly two hours. However, during that time, fans weren’t looking at their watches, as they were enjoying the set. Over the course of its performance, Wu-Tang Clan made sure to perform all of the fan favorites, including closing the night with “C.R.E.A.M.” before following that with “Triumph.”

This tour also allowed for plenty of celebration moments, and there were moments throughout the evening where you could tell the Wu-Tang members were having plenty of fun. Early in the performance, RZA snuck backstage and came out with a bottle of champagne, which he popped, spraying it on the fans in the front few rows and the photographers.

Though the Birmingham show did not sell well, the crowd on hand made plenty of noise. Late in the set, Method Man acknowledged the low attendance and gave credit to the crowd, thanking them for singing along and for joining the group on their final tour.

The Final Chamber Tour continues through November. Click here to view tour dates and buy tickets.
