Arnold Community Council meets with nation’s leaders

The Arnold Community Council (ACC) held its annual “DC Fly-In” from April 20 to April 23. The ACC delegation and TN Congressional Staffers met with United States Air Force leaders at the Pentagon on Monday morning. They also met with Congressional leaders and staff members at the United States Capitol on Monday afternoon through Wednesday. On Thursday, ACC members met with George J. Rumford, Director of the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC). The ACC delegation presented and discussed issues that are important to the 13-county Arnold Air Force Base (AFB) community that supports the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), their 8 geographically separated units located in Maryland, Ohio, New Mexico (2), Colorado, Utah and California (2) and the other 22 DoD test organizations who are member of the Major Range Test Facilities Base (MRTFB).

The estate of George Tolmie Skinner of Tullahoma has released a rare dual historical perspective: a firsthand 1943 pilot training journal and a sweeping memoir detailing a life that moved from wartime cockpits to the cutting edge of hypersonic flight.

Pop up clinic coming to Winchester June 6-7

Remote Area Medical (RAM) is stepping in to address this issue by offering a free, comprehensive dental, vision, and medical clinic at Franklin County High School located at 833 Bypass Road, Winchester, TN 37398 on June 6-7.
