Deadline is Wednesday morning for inclusion in Sunday’s edition and Monday morning for Wednesday’s edition. You may submit your event a month ahead of the date and reoccurring events may also be published in the community calendar.

Almost time to party safely
A 30 year Tullahoma tradition designed to keep graduating Tullahoma High School seniors safe on their graduation night is being planned by senior class parents. The community is invited to support Project Graduation 2026 to ensure its continued success.

TUA prepared for storms
Following the impact of Winter Storm Fern earlier this year, Tullahoma Utilities Authority (TUA) President Allen Potter held a presentation to the utility authority’s board of directors about how TUA is prepared for storms.
General Sessions
Sentences were handed out in General Sessions court. Actions included: Kyle Garrett Lusk was ordered to serve 50 days of an 11-29 sentence for assault – threat of bodily injury and failure to appear in court.

Retail sales climb in Coffee County
Retail sales in Tullahoma in February, 2026 were up slightly compared to February, 2025. Merchants collected $29,614 or 2.11% more in sales tax between the two months. The reporting of retail sales are one month behind as merchants have a month to report their sales. For the first nine months of the fiscal year, retail sales in Tullahoma are up 5.14%.

A would-be thief was chased down and detained after he allegedly tried to steal a truck on Springdale Drive in Manchester in an incident lawmen suspect was not his first rodeo.

Ascend wins Diamond Award
A scend Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in Middle Tennessee, has won a coveted Diamond Award from America’s Credit Unions in the “Member or Trade Communications” category for its Possibilities newsletter. Ascend’s member newsletter was also recognized as the “Category’s Best,” earning the highest score of all other credit unions within its asset grouping.

Man claims rape charge was just a dream
A Coffee County man has been charged with rape for allegedly having sex with his wife while she slept and then telling her it was all a dream when she confronted him about it.
