City plans biggest Independence Day celebration ever

The Tullahoma Regional Independence Day event will be the biggest ever this year for the 250th Celebration as the fireworks display will go longer than ever before.
The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted to hire Pyro Shows Inc., at a cost of $38,875 for the 20-minute pyrotechnic show. In past years the show was 15 minutes in duration, meaning the 2026 version will be five minutes longer than normal. The event will be held at Grider Stadium on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The fireworks will also include the Air Force Medley being played and Parks and Recreation Director JP Kraft said there will be other “wow factors” coming as part of the presentation.
“There have also been some tariffs that have been added to the cost of the fireworks,” he explained to the board. “They come from China.”
Kraft added as soon as he contracts the main band for the celebration, SixWire, he will come back to the board to reveal the contract details.
