Glick requests special session on homelessness

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen is considering a study session to discuss the problem of homelessness in Tullahoma.

The request was made by Alderman Kurt Glick after he received information about a growing homeless community located in the vicinity of Kroger. He pointed out that it was an issue that had been discussed in the past but no action has been taken on addressing it.

“I’d invite the chief of police to give us a report on it and have the city attorneys there or whoever could shed lights on options to take care of that problem because I know it’s a bad problem,” Glick said.

A date was not revealed during the meeting Monday evening.
