High Tech Job Fair Thursday

Professionals and skilled workers from across Tennessee and the surrounding region are invited to attend a Technology- Driven Job Fair on Thursday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Atlantic Venue, 205 NW Atlantic Street, Tullahoma.
The event will highlight companies supporting innovative technology applications and the vital work carried out at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), the largest and most advanced aerospace testing facility in the free world and national test enterprise headquartered at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. AEDC employs more than 3,000 people and comprises more than 90 aerospace test capabilities across eight states, supporting the development of key national aerospace and defense systems.
Organizers are conducting broad outreach to introduce attendees to employers working in engineering, aerospace, data analytics, modeling and simulation, skilled trades, finance, contracting, and business support roles tied to advanced technology and national defense.
“AEDC and the companies that support it are doing some of the most unique and important work in the country,” said Beverly Lee, Board Chairman, Tullahoma Area Economic Development Corp. “This job fair is designed to help students, skilled workers, and job seekers connect directly with employers involved in cutting- edge aerospace, engineering, analytics, skilled trades, and business operations.”
Regional employers and AEDC-related companies have identified ongoing demand for professionals in engineering — especially aerospace, mechanical, civil, computer, and electrical — as well as welding, HVAC, electrical work, data analytics, finance, contracting, and other high-skill fields. The event is intended to give attendees direct access to employers, exposure to emerging technologydriven career pathways, and insight into the many opportunities available in the region.
The event also reflects the strength of the regional workforce pipeline. Tennessee’s College System includes 22 colleges of applied technology, helping expand access to technical education and workforce preparation close to home. Coffee County will open a new TCAT in Manchester off Hwy 53, just 10 miles from Arnold AFB, in July on the 1,800 acre industrial site purchased by the state of Tennessee.
Institutions, instructors, career services offices, workforce partners, and media outlets are encouraged to share the event with STEM, engineering, technical, and skilled-craft students and audiences.
