The Information Protection Office at Arnold Air Force Base is warning the public of a phone spoofing scam impacting the communities near Arnold.

The scam involves the malicious use of Arnold AFB phone numbers. The Coffee County Sheriff’s Department has received reports of community members receiving calls that are indicated on caller ID to be from Arnold AFB.

These calls are not from Arnold AFB and are an attempt to draw the person called into a scam.

Those receiving a call indicated to be from Arnold AFB are asked not to provide any personal information.

Those receiving such calls are also asked to report them to the Information Protection Office at 931-454-3290.
