Emil’s owners retire after 25 years

After serving Tullahoma for 25 years, owners of Emil’s Bistro & Lounge Georges and Tammy Martin have announced their retirement.

The announcement was revealed on Friday, March 27, when the Martins said that evening’s dinner special and Saturday’s dinner special will be their last specials they will be offering to their loyal customers of 25 years, where they gave a big “thank you” for the support.

“Thank you friends for helping to make our dream a successful reality,” the Martins said in a statement on the restaurant’s Facebook page. “We couldn’t have done it without you!”

The Martins said while they pass the baton to new owners, they asked the community to continue to support Tullahoma’s locally owned, independent restaurants and other small businesses.

“It can be a hard road for entrepreneurs, but the support of a loyal, loving community not only makes dreams come true, but also helps ensure our town, county, and region continue to have people willing to invest in establishments we all can enjoy,” the Martins said.

The restaurant released the following farewell message to both its customers and to the community: “Twenty-five years, a lifetime it seems.

Built on hard work and countless dreams. These walls held laughter, tears, and grace, and love found a home in this gathering place.

We raised our children beneath these lights, through early mornings and closing nights. As meals were served and friendships grew, our family felt loved by each of you.

With skilled hands and a generous heart, Chef Georges poured love into his culinary art. Every dish prepared with care and pride, Quality, passion, and flavor inside.

You tasted his craft, his soul, his fire- Each plate shaped by standards that never expired. From firsttime guests to friends who knew, He cooked each meal especially for you.

You marked your moments around our tables, Engagements, weddings, stories and fables. Birthdays, reunions, goodbyes, and hello- Life unfolded here, more than you’ll ever know.

To our loyal staff, our steadfast friends, your dedication shaped every end.

You gave your hearts, your talents, your time, and helped turn effort into something divine.

This community fed more than success- You shaped who we are, we cannot express How grateful we are for the trust you gave, for believing in us, loyal and brave.

As we turn the page and say goodbye, please know our thanks will never run dry.

This restaurant’s story is us and you A shared journey built on love, trust, and always great food!

With love from The Martins Emil’s: December 8, 2001- March 29, 2026”
