Dutch Bros Coffee eyes William Northern location

Dutch Bros Coffee is planning to build a new coffee restaurant at the corner of Jackson and William Northern.
The property is owned by Ascend and is 5.31 acres. They are looking to remove the portion of Ascend’s parking lot that is along William Northern Boulevard where it intersects with North Jackson Street. The preliminary plat and variance was approved by the Tullahoma Planning Commission.
“That section of parking lot will become the new site for the Dutch Bros Coffee Shop,” announced Samuel Luthi, Director of Planning and Development for the city of Tullahoma. Dutch Bros is a quick serve drive through coffee restaurant.
Luthi pointed out there will not be an entrance on William Northern but instead egress and entry will be through Ascend’s entrance on William Northern. He pointed out one reason the area hasn’t already been developed is that there is a gas line. However, the plan is to retire that line and relocate it.
Planning member Adam Cline reminded officials representing Dutch Bros that there’s would be the fourth coffee shop within a mile. The developers were undeterred.
