SixWire returns to headline Independence celebration

The headliner for the July 3 Independence Celebration has been booked as SixWire will again rockin the Nation’s Birthday in Tullahoma.
SixWire will collect a paycheck of $7,500 for their efforts at the annual event, which will this year mark the country’s 250th year.
Parks and Rec Director JP Kraft pointed out that SixWire is giving Tullahoma a great rate for their performance. “It’s the same rate they’ve honored for 10 years,” he revealed, noting SixWire most recently played the Super Bowl Party in Nashville on Broadway. “They command much more than this for a performance.”
The mayor interjected, “I can’t believe we get them for this price,” he agreed. “That’s a really, really good band.”
SixWire has been the headliner for the local July 3 celebration for the past several years.
The group will be highlighting the America 250 Celebration which will crescendo shortly after 9 p.m. with a historically huge fireworks display to mark the country’s sestercentennial, or in some circles, what’s called the quarter-millennial. The event will be held as always at Grider Stadium.
