The 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s Tullahoma-Lynchburg is Saturday, Sept. 19.

Registration/Venue opens at 8 a.m. with Promise Garden at 9 a.m. and Walk Ceremony at 9:30 a.m.

This event is not only to raise funds for research, but to support those who care for someone with Alzheimer’s, the one who has Alzheimer’s and provide information and a community. There will be vendors, a silent auction and people who can understand and relate while offering support.

Worldwide there are 55 million people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disease and the most common cause of dementia.

Do you know, or have you wondered about the meaning of the color of the flowers? Blue is for the one who currently has Alzheimer’s. Yellow is for support for someone who is caring for someone with Alzheimer’s. Purple is for someone who lost someone to Alzheimer’s. Orange is for support for the cause and White is for the first person cured of Alzheimer’s.

“Now is the perfect time to rally your family, friends and coworkers to start a Walk to End Alzheimer’s team or team up with someone who has a team,” organizers said. “Come show your support, get information and find a friend.”
