Loyd Ernest Jernigan, 63, of Decherd, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at his residence.  He was born in Denton, Texas on July 26, 1962, to the late Thomas Ernest and Margaret Elizabeth (Doughty) Jernigan.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Mt. Garner Cemetery. 

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
