Jimmy Marvin Grantham, 94

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, Jimmy Marvin Grantham at age 94 was welcomed to his heavenly home after passing this life at Vanderbilt Tullahoma- Harton Hospital.
He was born in a little house outside of Bernice, Louisiana on March 14, 1932 to the late James Edgar and Stella Mae Moncrief Grantham. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa. Jimmy served his country proudly in the United States Navy beginning in 1951 serving in the Korean Conflict as a Navy Seabee. He was honorably discharged in 1955 as CE3. Jimmy married Arthuree Hall on November 24, 1955, graduated from Louisiana Tech in 1959 with a BS Electrical Engineering, and was a Professional Engineer. He worked for International Paper Company until 1962 at which time he moved to Tullahoma to work at Arnold Engineering Development Center, Arnold AFB. He was the Electrical Design Supervisor for the Sverdrup Design Group upon retiring in 1994. Mr. Grantham was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, coaching baseball and softball, woodworking, painting, and watching Bob Ross.
He is survived by his wife of 70 and a half years, Arthuree Hall Grantham; one son, Mark (Martha) Grantham; one daughter, Kelly (Bill) Saringer; two brothers, John (Frances) Grantham, and Norman (Ann) Grantham; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Theodore) Arnold, Thomas (Quin) Grantham, Alexis Saringer (fiancé Logan Wiggenhorn), and Grant (Juliet) Saringer; and two great-granddaughters, Amelia and June. Per Mr. Grantham’s wishes, no services are planned at this time.
