Harding announces aldermanic bid

Jackie Harding has announced her candidacy for Tullahoma alderman. Her announcement reads in full:
“I moved to Tennessee in 1992 as a teenager in high school. Hard as it is to believe, that was 34 years ago. Over those decades, my roots here grew deep. I attended college at Motlow, MTSU, and the Shelbyville College of Applied Technology before building a diverse career serving our community. I worked at AEDC as an accountant and project manager for nearly 15 years, and later transitioned to healthcare as an NHC nurse. Many of you may have seen me working at our local health departments in Tullahoma, Lynchburg, and Manchester through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since 2022, I have worked remotely as an IT professional and project manager, and I recently took the leap to start my own local business turning my passions for painting, carpentry, and custom builds into a career.
Tullahoma is my home. I married my best friend in 2004, we raised four children here, and today I have a granddaughter attending school right here in town. I am deeply vested in this community. I have seen many changes over the span of 34 years, but the last couple of years have raised my eyebrows. Tullahoma is growing and changing rapidly. There are big issues coming our way, and my goal is to help our city be the best it can be. We have great people here, and we deserve transparency and leaders who work directly for their citizens.
Is the Board of Mayor and Aldermen truly working for you? Do you feel you know what is going on, and are they making decisions that are in your best interest? We need accountability and open communication on this board. The decisions made at City Hall should reflect the consensus of the people who live here. I promise to listen to you. I am asking for your vote for Alderman on August 6, 2026. Early voting started July 17, so please get out and vote. It matters who sits in these seats.”
