Teen killed in accident on I-65

A Tullahoma motorcyclist was killed on I-65 this past week in a wreck involving two tractor-trailer trucks.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the fatal crash took place on Wednesday, July 29, around 7 p.m. on I-65 South near Dickerson Pike. Officials said the preliminary investigation showed that both semi-trailer trucks were traveling south in separate lanes next to each other on I-65 South when the motorcyclist, Jason Bungarz-Kinney, 19, of Tullahoma, was traveling at a high rate of speed and attempted to pass between them, but crashed into the back of one of the trailers.
Both drivers stopped following the incident, and neither one reported signs of impairment, according to officers. Bungarz-Kinney was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died during the night.
