Marian Thompson

Marian Louise Thompson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on May 8, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Dr. Attilio Navazio and Flora (Obst) Navazio. Marian spent her formative years in Morristown, New Jersey, where she graduated from Morristown High School in 1961. She then attended the University of Maryland to further her education.

Knights of Columbus donate to Skills

Justin Thompson presents a donation of $1,150 to Skills Development Services, Inc., on behalf of the Tennessee Knights of Columbus KIND fund, which supports charities for those with intellectual disabilities throughout the state. These funds were raised locally by Council 3991 of the Knights of Columbus, who will be distributing similar checks to Good Samaritan and the Special Olympics. SDS is a community-based agency, with offices in Tullahoma, Shelbyville, and Fayetteville, and focuses on supporting people to make choices, lead meaningful lives, and to be participating, working members in their communities. Band reunites on 25th anniversary of 9/11

Three United States Marine veterans whose music career was interrupted by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, will reunite on the 25th anniversary of 9/11 for a special Mike Corrado Band performance in downtown Lynchburg.

Authors increase to 31 for Saturday signing event

The community is invited to the fourth annual Area Author Book Signing Event, Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The authors will be at First Christian Church in downtown Tullahoma. The Event is hosted by the Coffee County Adult Literacy Council The Event will feature 31 area authors. “We are very fortunate to have so many talented authors in our immediate area,” according to Len Houser, President of the Council. “There will be something for everyone including mystery, romance, humor, history, poetry, young adult, fantasy and children’s books. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet these authors, ask questions and purchase signed books.”

Brenda Daniel

Mrs. Brenda Kay Daniel, age 77, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Born May 19, 1949 in Tullahoma, Tennessee to the late William Horace and Mamie Ruth Fulton.
