DAR help celebrate Tennessee Tree Day
Why would anyone order 100 saplings from the Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC) to be delivered to South Jackson Performing Arts Center on Tennessee Tree Day? This was the big question that the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) asked as they volunteered to distribute saplings to all 35 people who ordered them. Most orders were for three or four, sometimes 20 saplings, so 100 saplings was a big mystery.

VFW holds Vietnam Veteran Honors Dinner
Manchester Veterans of Foreign Wars All-American Post 10904 was privileged to host its 9th annual Vietnam- era Veterans Honors Dinner on Thursday, March 26 at the Coffee County Veterans Building, 130 Shelton Road in Manchester. Veterans who served during the Vietnam conflict period (November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975), as well as their spouses and/or family members, were honored at the event. So popular was the event that registration reached capacity within two weeks of announcement on Post 10904’s website and Facebook page.

U.S. Postal Service to implement 8% surcharge

A Tullahoma man faces a lengthy jail sentence after he entered guilty pleas to setting fire to an historic building back in 2019, torching the building due to his white supremacist beliefs.

Retail sales down slightly to start year
Retail sales in Tullahoma in January, 2026 were down slightly compared to January, 2025. Merchants collected $17,216 or 1.19% less in sales tax between the two months. The reporting of retail sales are one month behind as merchants have a month to report their sales. For the first eight months of the fiscal year, retail sales in Tullahoma are up 5.46%.
Neighbors fight rezoning near Pepsi Plant
The board of mayor and aldermen voted to rezone a parcel of property to Commercial despite protests from local resid ents who fear development along the two-land road would lead to more accidents.
