Sentences were handed out in General Sessions court. Actions included: Kyle Garrett Lusk was ordered to serve 50 days of an 11-29 sentence for assault – threat of bodily injury and failure to appear in court.

Partin, Adams win election
C had Partin was reelected for another term as Coffee County Sheriff, staving off challenges from Danny Ferrell and Kelly Smith in the Republican Primary. Meanwhile, Kelsie Adams was able to unseat Jenny Anthony for the Circuit Court Clerk’s office, while incumbent County Mayor Dennis Hunt beat Republican challenger Cheryl Swan but will still face opposition from Democrat Khamai M. Rozier and Independent Mark Messick in August.

Women Impacting the Community reveals winners
The four finalists for Women Impacting the Community were surprised to be honored among the over 90 women who were nominated for this year’s award luncheon, hosted by the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce.
