AEDC at 75: Truman dedicates AEDC

Then-President Harry Truman arrives at Northern Field near Tullahoma, Tenn., June 25, 1951, to dedicate the Air Engineering Development Center as the Arnold Engineering Development Center in honor of Gen. Henry “Hap” Arnold. The dedication occurred at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., initially home to AEDC and later headquarters of the entire Arnold Engineering Development Complex.
