Community Calendar is a service of the Tullahoma News and is free of charge for community and church announcements. Those wishing to submit an event should email their item to dsherrill@ tullahomanews. com or contact Duane Sherrill at 931-4554545 with the information. Deadline is Wednesday morning for inclusion in Sunday’s edition and Monday morning for Wednesday’s edition. You may submit your event a month ahead of the date and reoccurring events may also be published in the community calendar.

Tullahoma Farmer’s Market back in season: The Tullahoma Farmers’ Market is back and is open on Mondays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at South Jackson Performing Arts Center on 404 S. Tullahoma Senior Citizens Center Daily Schedule: Lapidary-Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 a.m. to noon; Crochet-Mondays 11 a.m.; Line Dance-Mondays and Wednesdays 1:30 p.m.; Exercise-Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:30 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn-Thursdays 11:30 a.m. The Pool Room, TV Room, and Card Games are available during the Center’s hours of 8:30 a.m. -3 p.m. Monday through Thursday (closes at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays). Tullahoma Senior Center Special Events: Arbor Day Memorial Tree Planting-April 23 at 10:30 a.m., Trivia with Betty King-April 27 at 10 a.m., Game Afternoon-April 29 at 11:30 a.m., bring a board game and a snack to share.

BoMA study session April 23: The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen will hold a study session April 23 with the subject to be public works, Recreation, Planning and IT.

The Enchanted Bookshop Musical April 2426: South Jackson PACT (Performing Arts for Children & Teens ) presents “The Enchanted Bookshop” musical for a second weekend from April 24-26. Friday and Saturday’s start time will be 7 p.m. while Sunday’s start time will be 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by visiting southjackson.org.

The Art of the Trees Arbor Day Celebration April 24: The Tullahoma Fine Arts Center, in collaboration with the Tullahoma Tree Board and the Arts Council of Tullahoma, has announced “The Art of Trees,” a juried art exhibition celebrating Arbor Day 2026. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 24, at the Tullahoma Fine Arts Center at 6 p.m., and it will feature tree-related artwork from local and regional artists

Spring in the Hollow April 25: Spring in the Hollow will be held in Lynchburg April 25 on the town square with loads of activities including the annual plant sale and birdhouse auction. Activities start at 8 a.m.

Cozy Crochet Class April 25: A Cozy Crochet Class will be held from 1-4 p.m., April 25 for intermediate at D.W. Wilson.

Normandy VFD chili supper April 25: The Normandy Volunteer Fire Department will have a chili supper April 25 from 4-7 p.m. There will be chili and fixings, drinks, and homemade desserts for $7. Drinks with Dems April 25: The Coffee County Democratic Party will be hosting Drinks with Dems at Ole Shed, 107 Montclair St. CCDP holds this community outreach event on the fourth Saturday of each month. It gives the Coffee County community a chance to get together, talk about the latest political events, and make new friends. All ages welcome!

National Cornbread Festival April 25-26: The National Cornbread Festival will be held April 25-26 in South Pittsburg. Thursday April 23 will be the first ever Festival Preheat Party at the historic Princess Theatre, featuring CMA, ACM, and GRAMMY nominated powerhouse duo, The War and Treaty with special guest Hannah Dasher. Tickets for the Preheat Party are available online now at www. theprincesstheatretn.com. Friday night will kick off festival weekend with opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. (all times are central) and the annual street dance at 7 p.m. This year’s dance features music by Legacy. Fireworks display at 10 p.m. Festival gates open at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at nationalcornbread. com/ through Friday, April 24, or at the festival gates. Single day admission is $10 (Preschool & under Free), with an online option to purchase a 2-day bundle including admission to Cornbread Alley for $17.

BoMA meets April 27: The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet April 27 at 5:30 p.m. at city hall. A study session will follow to include TAA, TAEDC, Administration, Debt and Revenue discussion.

Chamber Coffee April 28: The Chamber Coffee sponsored by TUA will be held at 11 a.m. at The Atlantic.

TUA meeting April 28: The TUA Board of Directors will meet at the TUA Building April 28 at 5 p.m.

Jazz vocalist at South Jackson April 30: Jazz vocalist Karla Harris and her quintet will be at South Jackson Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m., April 30.

Drive-in Movie at Marble Springs Church May 1: The historic Marble Plains Baptist Church will host Drive-In Ministries from Alabama for an outdoor movie night on Friday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join with friends and family under the stars and watch “Unsung Hero,” a family friendly movie based on a true story. The movie is completely free and concessions will be provided by the church. On Saturday, May 2, the movie, “Family Camp,” will be shown as an indoor matinee at 2:30 p.m. The church is located just inside Tims Ford State Park at 525 Marble Plains Road.

Tullahoma Banana Pudding Festival May 2: Brianna Victory Events are inviting banana pudding lovers and residents alike to the Tullahoma Banana Pudding Festival on May 2, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free admission and free parking. Tullahoma Soapbox Derby May 2: The Tullahoma Soapbox Derby returns to Tullahoma on Saturday, May 2, starting at 6:30 a.m. at Sonic Hill on Lincoln Street. To register, go to www.reg2run. com and scroll down to Tullahoma Soapbox.

Adoption event at Petsmart May 2: The Tullahoma Animal Shelter will hold its adoption event on Saturday, May 2, at Petsmart from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dogs at the event will be offered as foster- only so the animal shelter will work with potential adopters fill out paperwork and, upon review, will be qualified to go ahead and take the dog home.

Special Olympics May 4: The Special Olympics Area 13 Spring Games will take place on Monday, May 4, at Tullahoma High School (THS), bringing together athletes from across the region for a day of competition, celebration, and community spirit. Participants from Moore, Coffee, Franklin, Lincoln, and Bedford counties will gather to showcase their talents and sportsmanship in a variety of events. Athletes are encouraged to arrive by 9:15 a.m., or earlier if possible, to prepare for the opening festivities. The day’s schedule will begin with check-in at 8:15 a.m., followed by athletes lining up on the track between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. for the Parade of Athletes, which will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. The event will feature a full schedule of athletic activities and is expected to conclude around 2 p.m.

Women Impacting the Community Award Luncheon May 5: The annual Women Impacting the Community Awards Luncheon, sponsored by SmartBank, returns on Tuesday, May 5, at noon at The Atlantic, located at 205 N. Tullahoma Food Fair returns May 6: The Tullahoma Food Fair returns for the season on Wednesday, May 6, from 5 to 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church at the intersection of Cedar Lane and Wilson Avenue. Stop by and see what goodies are available. They will be there every Wednesday from May thru October.

CCDP’s Future Forward Meeting May 9: Join the Coffee County Democratic Party for the second Saturday of each month at the Coffee County Administrative Plaza, 1329 McArthur St. in Manchester, in the Community Room, as we endeavor to help our Coffee County neighbors who are in need. Bring canned or non-perishable foods for our local food pantry. Donate to end medical debt for Coffee County residents who are well below the federal poverty level and have medical debt more than 5% of their income. For each dollar donated, Contest Every Race, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization, will match donations 200:1! Be a part of positive change!

THP roadblock May 13: The THP will hold sobriety checkpoint May 13 at 1 p.m. at Wattendorf Memorial Highway at Decherd Highway.

Second annual Ducky

Derby May 16: The Shepherd’s House is inviting residents to its second annual Ducky Derby on Saturday, May 16, at D.W. Wilson Community Center and the Splash Island Lazy River. The event opens at 10 a.m. and will feature a scavenger hunt at 10:30 a.m., where the first three to complete get a prize, the Ducky Derby Hat fashion show starts at 12:30 p.m., where there will be prizes for the prettiest, duckiest, biggest, quackiest, and ugly duckling hats. For the race itself, price for participation are $10 per duck, or $50 for six ducks and $100 for 15 ducks, and there will be prizes for the winners.

HOSC Camp Create and Innovate summer camp: The Hands-On Science Center’s summer camp makes its return with this program’s: Camp Create Innovate. The Trustees’ offi ce will serve you at their location: 1341 McArthur St, Manchester, TN 37355. Online services/ payments may be placed at the TNPropTax. com website. The State of Tennessee provides property tax relief programs (eligibility requirements) for Elderly Homeowners, Disabled Homeowners, Disabled Veteran Homeowners, and Widow(ER) of Disabled Veteran Homeowners. Master Gardener Class underway: Coffee County Extension is excited to announce the upcoming Master Gardener Intern class, designed for gardening enthusiasts wishing to deepen their knowledge and skills while contributing to their local communities. Starting on Jan. 27, this comprehensive program offers a unique blend of classroom instruction and handson learning. The Master Gardener program empowers participants to become certified volunteers who provide essential gardening education and resources to the community. The 14-week course covers a wide range of topics, including plant biology, pest management, landscape design, and sustainable gardening practices. Classes will be held weekly on Tuesday at the UT Space Institute from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with Extension Specialists and Agents and connect with fellow gardening aficionados. Come To The Table on Tuesdays: Nonprofit Come To The Table welcomes anyone to Damron’s Restaurant, located at 714 E. Lincoln St., from 5 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday for a free hot meal. The menu varies from week to week and is provided from donations made by churches, individuals and community organizations.

GCWC Centennial Woman’s Club meets second Tuesdays: GFWC Centennial Woman’s Club of Tullahoma meets the second Tuesday of the month from August – May at 6 p.m. in the Tullahoma Woman’s Club Building at 709 Wilson Avenue, Tullahoma. If you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer, meet new friends, and make a difference in our community, please join us. Alzheimer’s Tennessee support group meetings: Alzheimer’s Tennessee offers free support group meetings every month for care partners. There is an evening meeting at Brookdale Senior Living Center, 801 Wilson Ave. in Tullahoma, at 5 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month. A daytime group meets at 11 a.m. on the first Wednesday of the month at Morning Pointe Assisted Living Center, 711 King’s Lane in Tullahoma. Lunch is provided and a reservation is needed for participants. Loved ones affected by dementia are welcome to visit in the Lantern during this support group meeting. Highland Rim of the Compassionate Friends meets second Sunday: The Highland Rim Chapter of The Compassionate Friends, a group that provides grief support after the death of a child, meets the second Sunday of the month at the Church of Christ at Cedar Lane from 2-3:30 p.m.
