Community Calendar is a service of the Tullahoma News and is free of charge for community and church announcements. Those wishing to submit an event should email their item to dsherrill@tullahomanews.com or contact Duane Sherrill at 931-455-4545 with the information. Deadline is Wednesday morning for inclusion in Sunday’s edition and Monday morning for Wednesday’s edition. You may submit your event a month ahead of the date and reoccurring events may also be published in the community calendar.
Tullahoma Farmer’s Market back in season: The Tullahoma Farmers’ Market is back and is open on Mondays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at South Jackson Performing Arts Center on 404 S. Tullahoma Senior Citizens Center Daily Schedule: Lapidary-Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 a.m. to noon; Crochet-Mondays 11 a.m.; Line Dance-Mondays and Wednesdays 1:30 p.m.; Exercise-Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:30 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn-Thursdays 11:30 a.m. The Pool Room, TV Room, and Card Games are available during the Center’s hours of 8:30 a.m. -3 p.m. Monday through Thursday (closes at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays). Tullahoma Food Fair returns May 6: The Tullahoma Food Fair returns for the season on Wednesday, May 6, from 5 to 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church at the intersection of Cedar Lane and Wilson Avenue. Stop by and see what goodies are available. They will be there every Wednesday from May thru October.
Tullahoma Art Students May Exhibit at The Celtic Cup: Stop by the Celtic Cup, located at 106 N. Anderson St., for the month of May to enjoy an art gallery by students at Tullahoma City Schools.
Drinking Water Celebration May 7: The Tullahoma Utilities Authority is inviting residents to participate in Drinking Water Week with its Drinking Water Celebration event on Thursday, May 7. The event will be held at TUA’s campus, located at 901 S. Jackson St., from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. where they can enjoy good food, win prizes and learn about the importance of drinking clean water.
Towneplace Suites by Marriott Ribbon Cutting May 7: Join the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce as it cuts the ribbon for the grand opening of Towneplace Suites by Marriott on Thursday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at 112 Hoover Lane.
National Day of Prayer May 7: Members of the Manchester and Coffee community will be gathering for the 75th observance of the National Day of Prayer on the Historic Downtown Square on May 7. Various community leaders will lead attendees in prayer over various fields of work. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. and take place on the Main Street side of the Square. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit on. The theme for this year’s prayer gathering is “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.” The 75th observance of the National Day of Prayer will coincide with America’s 250th birthday.
CCDP’s Future Forward Meeting May 9: Join the Coffee County Democratic Party for the second Saturday of each month at the Coffee County Administrative Plaza, 1329 McArthur St. in Manchester, in the Community Room, as we endeavor to help our Coffee County neighbors who are in need. Bring canned or non-perishable foods for our local food pantry. Donate to end medical debt for Coffee County residents who are well below the federal poverty level and have medical debt more than 5% of their income. For each dollar donated, Contest Every Race, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization, will match donations 200:1! Be a part of positive change!
Shred Day at First Vision Bank May 9: First Vision Bank is hosting a free Shred Day on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to noon at its location at 1401 N. Jackson St. Bring your sensitive documents for on-site shredding. No cost, no hassle. Stop by and protect yourself from identity theft. Items that can be shredded include office paper, old medical records/bills, old banking/ credit card statements, credit cards and CDs with sensitive information. First Vision Bank will not be accepting magazines and newspapers to shred.

Wartrace Strawberry Festival May 9: The Wartrace Strawberry Festival will be held on Saturday, May 9, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Historic Downtown Wartrace. It is a family friendly event with Strawberries, food trucks, craft vendors, kid zone, and “Everything Strawberry” baking contest, “Baby Berries Contests”, music, cloggers, parade and much more. Freedom Realty Group Ribbon Cutting May 12: Join the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce as it cuts the ribbon for Freedom Realty Group on Tuesday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at 503 S. Jackson St.
THP roadblock May 13: The THP will hold sobriety checkpoint May 13 at 1 p.m. at Wattendorf Memorial Highway at Decherd Highway.
Riley the Axolotl at HOSC Ribbon Cutting May 14: Join the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce as it cuts the ribbon for Riley the Axolotl at the Hands-On Science Center on Thursday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at 101 Mitchell Blvd. Riley’s name was submitted by Nolan Hice in honor of his little brother, Riley, who passed away last year.
Hills Power Pro Ribbon Cutting May 15: Join the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce as it cuts the ribbon for Hills Power Pro on Friday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at 200 Flowertown Road in Normandy.
Second annual Ducky Derby May 16: The Shepherd’s House is inviting residents to its second annual Ducky Derby on Saturday, May 16, at D.W. Wilson Community Center and the Splash Island Lazy River. The event opens at 10 a.m. and will feature a scavenger hunt at 10:30 a.m., where the first three to complete get a prize, the Ducky Derby Hat fashion show starts at 12:30 p.m., where there will be prizes for the prettiest, duckiest, biggest, quackiest, and ugly duckling hats. For the race itself, price for participation are $10 per duck, or $50 for six ducks and $100 for 15 ducks, and there will be prizes for the winners.
WC Historical Association meets May 16: The Warren County Genealogical and Historical Association will meet Saturday, May 16, at 2 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of the WC Administration Building located at 201 Locust Street in McMinnville. The program will be presented by Park Ranger, Damon Graham, of Rock Island State Park. The Ranger will bring up to date information on the Cardwell Mountain project. If anyone has information, photos, etc. on Dark Hollow off of Highway 8 please, contact the WCGHA Archives (931474-4227) as research is underway on this area. Visitors are always welcome at the Association Meetings.
Hope Koehler – Love Around the World May 17: Join South Jackson Performing Arts Center as it welcomes Hope Koehler for Love Around the World on Sunday, May 17, at SPJAC. The concert will start at 2:30 p.m. and it will feature Koehler alongside William Koehler, James Douglass, Lisa Maurer and Tom Maurer as she performs various opera and theatre pieces in English, Italian, French and German. Bethany Church homecoming May 23: Bethany Church located at 2754 Riley Creek Road will hold homecoming and a memorial services May 23 at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Ricky Wade will speak and there will be music by Curtis Hice and Jeannie Bowden before a covered dish meal. The church was established in 1888 and the church and cemetery are maintained by the Good Neighbors Club. Persons unable to attend may send donations for upkeep of the cemetery to Debbie Crownover, 143 Crownover Lane, Normandy, TN 37360.
An Evening with the Ghost Army at South Jackson May 24 & 25: Join the South Jackson Performing Arts Center for two presentations by author and filmmaker Rick Beyer has he shares the incredible story of the Ghost Army–the top-secret WWII deception unit that was formed in Tullahoma. Also discussed will be: how Camp Forrest became the birthplace of military deception, mind-blowing tactics that fooled the Nazis, artists who served (including fashion designer Bill Blass) and why this story still resonates 80 years later. The first presentation will be on Sunday, May 24, at 2:30 p.m. or Monday, May 25, at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at southjackson. org.
Relentless Pursuit Fitness Ribbon Cutting May 26: Join the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce as it cuts the ribbon for Relentless Pursuit Fitness on Tuesday, May 26, at 2 p.m. at The Event Nook, located at 1940 N. Jackson St, Suite 200.
New American Funding Ribbon Cutting May 28: Join both the Manchester and Tullahoma Area chambers of commerce for the joint ribbon cutting for New American Funding on Thursday, May 28, at 4 p.m. at 1421 Mc-Arthur St. in Manchester.
Freefly Skills Camp May 30-31: Join Skydive Tennessee for an immersive freeflying skills camp led by world record holders Dana Bjorn and Palmer Collett. SCHRA meets June 4: The South Central Human Resource Agency will hold a Governing Board Meeting on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 11 a.m., at the SCHRA Central Office, 1437 Winchester Hwy., Fayetteville, TN. An agenda is attached. The SCHRA Budget/Audit/ Appropriations, Property, Personnel, and 1303 Committees will meet prior to the Governing Board Meeting at 10 a.m.
