Stidham named Support Staff Member of the Year

During its Tuesday meeting, the Tullahoma City School Board of Education honored eight building-level Support Staff Members of the Year and named Angel Stidham as the district’s Support Staff Member of the Year.
“This award means everything,” Stidham said. “I have worked for Tullahoma City Schools for 11 years, and it is a tremendous place to be. I am very honored to be here at Central Office and to serve as the Assistant to the Director of Schools and the Board Secretary. As district team members, we need to set the bar for the rest of the district, so I always try to lead by example and do my very best. I am so blessed to receive this award, and to have my family on hand tonight is special.”
Stidham has worked 11 years at TCS, holding various roles, including her current position of Assistant to the Director of Schools and School Board Secretary. Prior to her current role, Stidham was a receptionist at East Middle School, the TCS receptionist, a district human resources assistant, and the TCS Nutrition Bookkeeper.
“I don’t think people realize just how much Angel does for me, the school board and this school district daily,” said TCS Director of Schools Dr. Catherine Stephens. “She is an amazing team member who always anticipates the needs of others and jumps in whenever and wherever she is needed. She truly has a servant’s heart and loves our staff, families, school board, students and the Tullahoma community. I am proud to not only call her a coworker, but a friend, and I congratulate her on being named the TCS Support Staff Member of the Year.”
Tullahoma City Schools also honored seven additional building-level Support Staff Members of the Year on Tuesday. The district recognized Bel-Aire Elementary’s Kristen Sisk; East Lincoln Elementary’s Jill Reed; Jack T. Farrar Elementary’s Lee Stallings; Robert E. Lee Elementary’s Jason Evans; East Middle School’s Regina Laird; West Middle School’s Amanda Baker; and Tullahoma High School’s Lori Welch.
“We truly have some incredible support staff members throughout our district,” Dr. Stephens said. “I cannot overstate how valuable these support members are to creating a positive learning environment for our students and staff members. Each of these individuals honored tonight goes above and beyond daily for our students and staff, while also supporting families. This year’s hashtag is #TCSIsABetterPlace, and it’s because of individuals like these that it is absolutely true. Congratulations to everybody honored tonight, and thank you for all that you do for our schools.”
