Community Calendar is a service of the Tullahoma News and is free of charge for community and church announcements. Those wishing to submit an event should email their item to dsherrill@tullahomanews.com or contact Duane Sherrill at 931-455-4545 with the information. Deadline is Wednesday morning for inclusion in Sunday’s edition and Monday morning for Wednesday’s edition. You may submit your event a month ahead of the date and reoccurring events may also be published in the community calendar.

Tullahoma Senior Citizens Center Daily Schedule: Arts & Crafts with P.J.-Mondays at 9:30 a.m., Crochet-Mondays 11 a.m.; Line Dance-Mondays and Wednesdays 1:30 p.m.; Exercise-Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:30 a.m.; Lapidary-Tuesday & Thursday 9 a.m.-noon; Movie and Popcorn-Thursdays 11:30; The Pool Room, TV Room, and Card Games are available during the Center’s hours of 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday (closes at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays). High School Job Fair

April 9:

The high school job fair will be held at C.D. Stamps from 3:30 to 6 p.m., April 9.

Kiwanis mixer at Old Shed April 9: The Highland Rim Kiwanis Club will be holding a mixer at Old Shed Brewing Company from 5-7 p.m., April 9. Rock Creek Bluegrass Band will be performing. Come have a beer and learn more about how Kiwanis serves the community.

Lifeguard Certification Courses April 1012: Lifeguard certification classes will be held April 10-12. Sign up by April 10 at D.W. Wilson.

Free tax assistance through VITA and the United Way through April 10: Free in person tax assistance is available in Tullahoma through April 10, Mondays and every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tullahoma Business Building at 101 W. Lincoln St., Tullahoma. Appointments and walk-ins are available based on site capacity. If your household earned less than $84,000 in 2025, you are eligible for VITA, a free tax prep program powered by United Way of South Central Tennessee.

Hands-On Science Center Family Trivia Night April 10: The Hands-On Science Center are inviting residents to bring their whole family for an evening of curiosity, laughter, and friendly competition at Family Trivia Night at the Hands-On Science Center on Friday, April 10. Beans and Cornbread candidate forum April 11: Saturday, April 11, 6 p.m. – Beans and Cornbread Candidate Forum and CCDP Future Forward Meeting – at the Community Room of the Coffee County Administrative Building, 1335 McArthur Street, Manchester. Bring your best beans and/or cornbread for judging OR just bring a big appetite. Meet your 2026 democratic candidates who are running for office. Hear their views and ask questions.

Piping on the Green April 11: The 12th annual Piping on the Green event will be taking place on Saturday, April 11, at South Jackson Performing Arts Center from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year’s free festival will add Scottish Highland Games and armored combat in addition to the two stages of Celtic music, dance, workshops, food, craft vendors, bagpipers, and a very special whisky tasting experience brought to you by Impex beverages. Bring a chair and stay for the day as you immerse yourself in Celtic culture! Bring the family and find your clan, pet a highland cow, watch as brave knights in armor test their mettle, see live wood and metal working demonstrations, and spectate as kilted competitors test their strength in the historic Highland Games.

Hands-On Science Center Volunteer Day April 11: The Hands-On Science Center will have its Volunteer Day April 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cozy Crochet Class April 11: A Cozy Crochet Class will be held from 1-4 p.m., April 25 for intermediate at D.W. Wilson.

BoMA meets April 13: The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet April 13 in regular session. A study session will follow with reports from funded agencies as the board considers the year’s budget.

Tree Board meets April 14: The Tree board will meet at D.W. Wilson at 11:20 a.m., April 14.

Tullahoma Airport Authority meets April 14: The TAA will hold its meeting at the airport at 5 p.m.

15: The THP will hold sobriety checkpoint April 15 at 9 p.m. at State Highway 280 at Fredonia Road.

BoMA study session April 16: The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen will hold a study session April 18 with the subject to be police, fire and building codes.

Retired Teachers hold Pre-retirement meeting April 16: The Coffee County Retired Teachers will host a pre-retirement meeting for future retirees of the Coffee County, Tullahoma City, and Manchester City School Systems on April 16, 2026. The meeting will be held at the Coffee County School Board Room in the Administrative Plaza in Manchester. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m., and refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend to receive information even if you are not retiring this year.

SCHRA meets April 16: The South Central Human Resource Agency Head Start/Early Head Start Policy Council meeting will meet at 10:30 a.m. on April 16, 2026, at the South Central Human Resource Agency Central Office in Fayetteville.

The Enchanted Bookshop Musical April 1719: South Jackson PACT (Performing Arts for Children & Teens ) presents “The Enchanted Bookshop” musical for two weekends, starting on the weekend of April 17-19. Friday and Saturday’s start time will be 7 p.m. while Sunday’s start time will be 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by visiting southjackson.org.

Night in Little Italy April 18: The Decherd Knights of Columbus will be serving their infamous “Night in Little Italy” Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 5 – 7 p.m., in the Good Shepherd Church Parish Center in Decherd. The Spaghetti Dinner will be served on China plates and will include our traditional spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, drinks, and homemade desserts. Adult tickets are $10, and children under 12 are $5, tickets can be purchased at the door or after Mass. This is a charitable event hosted semiannually by the Knights. Eat in or takeout.

Pancake Breakfast April 18: The Tullahoma Women’s Club invites residents to enjoy some pancakes at its Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, April 18, from 8-10 a.m. at 709 Wilson Ave. Tickets for the breakfast is a $10 donation for adults and $5 for children under 12. Tullahoma Animal Shelter Meet & Greet April 18: Stop by Tully’s Coffee Co. with the Tullahoma Animal Shelter and Haunted Tullahoma for a fun Meet & Greet Event! Come sip a drink, browse the shop, and meet some adorable dogs looking for their forever homes. The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 127 W. Lincoln St. An adoption event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tractor Supply.

Police vs Fire bowling April 18: The Fire Department will take on the Police Department in bowling for badges at the bowling alley from 5-7 p.m.

Cruise-In at Wesley Heights Methodist April 18: The Wesley Heights Methodist 3rd Annual Cruise-In will be held April 18 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. This event includes a 50/50 draw, cake and pie sale, hotdogs, hamburgers, and children’s activities. Entry is free, though donations are appreciated.

WC Historical Association meets April 18: The Warren County Genealogical and Historical Association will meet on Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m. This meeting will take place in the Magnolia Room on the Main floor of the Warren County Administration Building at 201 Locust Street. The program will be on Century Farms in Warren County. There will be three presenters: Vickie Barnes Bouldin- River Valley Farm, Teresa Blair Hyatt- Blair Farm, Cindy Adams Rogers-Adams Farm. Visitors are always welcome.

Cozy Crochet Class April 18: A Cozy Crochet Class will be held from 1-4 p.m., April 18 for beginners at D.W. Wilson.

Planning Commission meets April 20: The Planning Commission will meet April 20 at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall.

School board meets April 21: The Tullahoma City Schools Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. at the school board building.

Donuts with Dems April 21: Saturday, April 21, from 2 – 4 p.m. CCDP will be hosting Donuts with Dems at Dunkin Donuts, 2224 Hillsboro Blvd., Manchester. They hold this community outreach event on the third Saturday of each month. It gives the Coffee County community a chance to get together, talk about the latest political events, and make new friends. All ages welcome.

BoMA study session April 23: The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen will hold a study session April 23 with the subject to be public works, Recreation, Planning and IT.

The Art of the Trees – 2026 Arbor Day Celebration April 24: The Tullahoma Fine Arts Center, in collaboration with the Tullahoma Tree Board and the Arts Council of Tullahoma, has announced “The Art of Trees,” a juried art exhibition celebrating Arbor Day 2026. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 24, at the Tullahoma Fine Arts Center at 6 p.m., and it will feature tree-related artwork from local and regional artists Spring in the Hollow

April 25: Spring in the Hollow will be held in Lynchburg April 25 on the town square with loads of activities including the annual plant sale and birdhouse auction. Activities start at 8 a.m.

Cozy Crochet Class April 25: A Cozy Crochet Class will be held from 1-4 p.m., April 25 for intermediate at D.W. Wilson.

Normandy VFD chili supper April 25: The Normandy Volunteer Fire Department will have a chili supper April 25 from 4:00-7:00. There will be chili and fixings, drinks, and homemade desserts for $7. Live auction at 5. For more information call 931-580-9401.

BoMA meets April 27: The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet April 27 at 5:30 p.m. at city hall. A study session will follow to include TAA, TAEDC, Administration, Debt and Revenue discussion.

Chamber Coffee April 28: The Chamber Coffee sponsored by TUA will be held at 11 a.m. at The Atlantic.

TUA meeting April 28: The TUA Board of Directors will meet at the TUA Building April 28 at 5 p.m.

Jazz vocalist at South Jackson April 30: Jazz vocalist Karla Harris and her quintet will be at South Jackson Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m., April 30.

Tullahoma Banana Pudding Festival May 2: Brianna Victory Events are inviting banana pudding lovers and residents alike to the Tullahoma Banana Pudding Festival on May 2, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free admission and free parking. Tullahoma Soapbox Derby May 2: The Tullahoma Soapbox Derby returns to Tullahoma on Saturday, May 2, starting at 6:30 a.m. at Sonic Hill on Lincoln Street. To register, go to www.reg2run. com and scroll down to Tullahoma Soapbox.

Adoption event at Petsmart May 2: The Tullahoma Animal Shelter will hold its adoption event on Saturday, May 2, at Petsmart from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dogs at the event will be offered as foster- only so the animal shelter will work with potential adopters fill out paperwork and, upon review, will be qualified to go ahead and take the dog home.

Women Impacting the Community Award Luncheon May 5: The annual Women Impacting the Community Awards Luncheon, sponsored by SmartBank, returns on Tuesday, May 5, at noon at The Atlantic, located at 205 N. Tullahoma Food Fair returns May 6: The Tullahoma Food Fair returns for the season on Wednesday, May 6, from 5 to 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church at the intersection of Cedar Lane and Wilson Avenue. Stop by and see what goodies are available. They will be there every Wednesday from May thru October.

Second annual Ducky Derby May 16: The Shepherd’s House is inviting residents to its second annual Ducky Derby on Saturday, May 16, at D.W. Wilson Community Center and the Splash Island Lazy River. The event opens at 10 a.m. and will feature a scavenger hunt at 10:30 a.m., where the first three to complete get a prize, the Ducky Derby Hat fashion show starts at 12:30 p.m., where there will be prizes for the prettiest, duckiest, biggest, quackiest, and ugly duckling hats. For the race itself, price for participation are $10 per duck, or $50 for six ducks and $100 for 15 ducks, and there will be prizes for the winners.

An Evening with the Ghost Army May 2425: The City of Tullahoma and South Jackson Performing Arts Center are proud to present, in celebration of Tennessee America 250, “An Evening with the Ghost Army” on Sunday, May 24, at 2:30 p.m. and Monday, May 25, at 7 p.m. at the performing arts center. The two presentations will feature author Rick Beyer who will talk about how one top-secret unit deceived the enemy with inflatable tanks, sound effects and other audacious fakery. HOSC Camp Create and Innovate summer camp: The Hands-On Science Center’s summer camp makes its return with this program’s: Camp Create Innovate.
