Callie Mai Allen, 102

Callie Mai Allen of Normandy passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026 at NHC – Tullahoma at the age of 102. Mrs. Allen was born in Shelbyville to the late Henry Mitchell and Callie Mai McLauglin Bartlett. During her life, Callie was a member of First Baptist Church of Tullahoma. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Allen; one sister, Pauline Roberts; and one brother, Robert Bartlett. Mrs. Allen is survived by her daughter, Betty Burford; two grandchildren, Tara Hatchell and Tyrus Burford (Cristal); and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner, and Harlan.

Arthur William “Rabbit” Syler, 71

Arthur William “Rabbit” Syler, age 71 of Belvidere, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on Feb. 5, 1955.

Mildred Louise Jenkins Edwards, 96

Mildred Louise Jenkins Edwards passed this life on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at NHC in Murfreesboro at the age of 96. Mildred was born in Detroit, Michigan, the only child to the late Howard and Rosa Hall Shelton. She graduated from Moore County High School in 1947 and was the Valedictorian of her senior class. Mildred went on to teach in a one-room schoolhouse for one year. She then went to work at Wilson Sporting as a payroll clerk and ended her working career as a payroll clerk at Roses Department Store in Murfreesboro. Mildred was a member of Rockvale Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E.B. Jenkins.

Grace S. Caps, 106

Grace S. Caps of Tullahoma passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Morning Pointe of Tullahoma at the age of 106. Mrs. Caps was born in Meriden, KS to the late Arthur and Mary Sechrist Schroetter. During her life, Grace was a member of Tullahoma First Methodist Church and worked with the War Price Patrol Board. After their retirement, Grace and her husband, James began to travel, and eventually visited all 50 states and many continents. On Grace’s 100th birthday on Jan. 9, 2019, the Mayor of Tullahoma proclaimed the day “Grace Caps Day”. In addition to her parents. Mrs. Caps was preceded in death by her husband, James W.

Blake Jonathan Michael Lewis, 24

Blake Jonathan Michael Lewis of Tullahoma passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2026, at the age of 24. Blake was born in Nashville, TN to the late Tammy Jo Lewis and Michael Maynor who survives. Blake worked at Jack Daniels and enjoyed fishing and being with his family and friends. In addition to his mother, Blake was preceded in death by his grandfather, Claborn Lewis; and one uncle, Mark Lewis. He is survived by his brother, Nathaniel Lewis; grandmother, Betty Jo Lewis; one aunt, Carolyn Chapin (Jeff); and one uncle, Chris Lewis.
